- GHCRI for Korea University Medical College, supported by Korean National Insititute of Health (K-NIH), was found in May 2002. GHCRI is provide not only the basic information of medical status and characteristics of geriatric population, but also to identify genetic and environmental risk factors of various diseases such as dementia, stroke, mood and affective disorders in Korean elderly people. Since GHCRI started population based cohort research which is the first, well-organized cohort for Korean elderly.
